Hang On Ramsey! is a 1966 soul-jazz album by The Ramsey Lewis Trio, released on Cadet Records. The Chicago-based pianist leads his trio through a mix of jazz standards and contemporary covers, blending Lewis’s accessible piano style with the rhythmic backbone of bassist Eldee Young and drummer Redd Holt. This was one of several commercially successful albums that helped establish Lewis as a crossover artist who could appeal to both jazz and R&B audiences during the mid-1960s.
