Here’s a pressing that deserves more attention from collectors – The Hollies’ Greatest Hits on the Canadian Epic label. While many folks gravitate toward the more common US and UK pressings of this compilation, the Canadian Epic edition offers something special for those who know what to listen for. Canadian pressings from this era were often manufactured with different vinyl compounds and pressing techniques, resulting in a distinct sonic character that many collectors swear by. The Hollies, of course, were one of the finest harmony-driven groups to emerge from the British Invasion, and their ability to evolve from beat group origins into sophisticated pop craftsmen is perfectly captured across these tracks.
