Rusty Egan’s “The Twilight Zone” represents a pivotal moment when the Blitz Club scene was crystallizing into what we’d later recognize as New Romantic and synth-pop. Egan, who was simultaneously drumming for Rich Kids and spinning records at the legendary Blitz, crafted this album as both a DJ statement and a producer’s manifesto. The title track became an underground anthem, bridging the gap between disco’s dying gasps and the electronic revolution that was reshaping London’s nightlife.
