This was Diamond’s breakthrough moment, featuring his first Top 10 hit “Sweet Caroline” alongside the deeply personal title track and his memorable take on Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” The album marked a significant artistic evolution for Diamond, moving away from his earlier garage rock sound toward the more orchestrated, emotionally rich style that would define his career.
