Here’s a Canadian pressing of the McGarrigle sisters’ fourth studio album, one that often gets overlooked in discussions of their catalog but shouldn’t be. “Love Over And Over” finds Kate and Anna at an interesting crossroads, working with producer Joe Boyd (Nick Drake, Fairport Convention) to create something that bridges their folk roots with a more polished, radio-friendly sound. The album features some of their most accessible material, including the title track and “Move Over Moon,” while maintaining the intricate harmonies and bilingual storytelling that made them darlings of the folk revival scene.
