Talbot’s journey from rock musician with Mason Proffit (alongside his brother Terry) to Franciscan monk and contemporary Christian folk artist represents one of the more fascinating spiritual transformations in American music. This album marked a pivotal moment in his solo career, capturing him at the height of his acoustic folk period before he fully embraced the monastic lifestyle that would define his later work.
