Isnt It Now? is Animal Collectives twelfth studio album, released September 29, 2023 on Domino. Recorded with all four members in the same room and co-produced by Russell Elevado, the record blends experimental rock with neo-psychedelia for a cohesive, immersive listening experience. Clocking in at about 64 minutes, it features the extended centerpiece Defeat (around 22 minutes) and tracks such as Soul Capturer, Genies Open, Gem & I, Stride Rite, All The Clubs Are Broken and Kings Walk. The release showcases Animal Collectives ongoing willingness to push their sound through collaboration and inventive textures.
